a young girl born into a noble tribe, generations before; seldom-seen within the deep peaks of the dalmascan mountains, the girl is expected to be a great leader-- one who will tackle the delicate balance of tribe politics and threats looming outside the woods. Great promise, she would be the perfect bearer of the family gift.

scared body and soul, the girl could not accept the "gift", to drink too deep, was to accept the void, but to deny- suicide.
the girl chose the latter, denying her destiny, a generational, bilogical curse, bestowed to her long before she was from the womb.

Lydia has cemented herself as a renowned fighter and leader, much of her backstory is not known by her peers, and theres little tattle about who she really is, where she came from, only those immediate and within her sphere know scant details of her life. The viera is a secretive woman with generations of stories.Those who would be interested can find her within the halls of the Adventures Guild, or many taverns for work, conversation or other reciprocity.much rumour surrouneds the captain, consorting with demons, how she harbours a crew of "defects" to much of this, Lydia simply keeps her charge, undaunted in her steps, for no small talk with no action does not faze the viera, nor will she entertain discredit .

Lydia has unique characteristics, the horns, the scales and the dragon-like eyes, she's a product of generations of curses, oaths and destiny. having been cursed to life eternity, lydia has more than learned to live with her conditions and can engage casually about it, most simply think she's lying and that can sometimes suit her.With Eorzea being filled with many walks of life and cultures, lydia mostly blends in, only sticking out in certain circumstance.Lydia's opted to pick up the sword and fight for her future her way, gaining much reputation within the Limsan privateers, a veteran of the Maelstrom, captain of a squadron tasked with peacekeeping the isles from bandits and garleans alike, to a humble captain of her own crew and their ship-- The Undaunted.

Lydia is an avid tavern crawler, much to be seen and lots of work to find in such places; she spends a lot of time in said places either alone, or with her crew, it's an open invitation for any soul to reach out to her in offering or conversation

Almost a half OOC and half IC area for Lydia, she's usually there when she's in the middle of a errand or she's looking for the cheapest, fastest drink, as well know, you will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy.

The nature of Lydia's life shows that she has a real consciousness of voidsent, the power drawn from their dark aether, it both attracts her and she attracts them, while the usual weaker voidling cannot best her, Lydia isn't against consorting with carriers or demons alike, as any hint towards her curse, she strives for (See OOC page for more context on this)
